Welcome to the Baldwin Boomerang

We long to see people in every tribe, tongue and nation transformed for God's glory. Our mission is to share the gospel by producing effective, compelling media tools that people can understand in their own culture and language. We are preparing to serve as full-time media missionaries with Create International. Toward that end we completed an extensive missions training program called a Crossroads DTS at YWAM Perth, Australia and a secondary YWAM school called the School of Frontier Media in Thailand. We are currently on furlough in North America and hope to see you face-to-face in 2010!

Support Information: Our support goal is currently near 50%.

You may send gifts and donations for our support to our sending agency Ripe for Harvest and please designate Account #247 in the memo line without including our name on the check. You may then mail the check directly to:

Ripe for Harvest, P.O. Box 487, Monument, CO 80132

PLEASE note new address.

It can take up to a month and a half for us to see your donation show up on our report. Also, Ripe for Harvest is able to issue a tax deductible receipt in the USA, but YWAM in Thailand is not.

If you want to be added to our newsletter list or have additional questions, email us at baldwinboomerang @ gmail dot com

Laptop Woes in Western Australia

My laptop continues to be a problem. I have called an Apple expert and I have a case number. We ran the laptop through various tests over several hours tonight to determine if the problem is hardware or software. Turns out it is a software issue most likely, so now I get to prepare for the old Archive and Install. Unfortunately, I can't archive it.

There is an authorized Apple repair shop about three blocks from here, so gratefully I won't have to borrow someone's car and risk driving on the right side of the road to the Apple Store in Joondalup!

I trust it will get fixed in God's timing and until then I'll just suffer a little in silence and ask God for patience. I may have to reinstall some software, so the only thing we may lose are all the photos we took and journals we have done since the trip started, and all the music from iTunes I got for Christmas last year. So I'd love to have you guys pray that this inconvenience is not too dragged out and that we don't lose too much data.

In other news, we have just now completed our second week of training which focused on the Character of God. It was beautiful to be able to study and reflect on God's character and nature. Our God is an awesome God and we are eager to serve him. Last Thursday night the entire Baldwin family participated in our first ever evangelistic outreach here in Perth by going door-to-door and trying to have conversations with people about Jesus. It was really beautiful, even if out of our comfort zone. It was a surprise to learn how many people reported strangers who were eager to get some news about Jesus. This city is ripe for harvest.

It sounds like it is as cold back home as it is hot here. I believe we cracked 105 yesterday! YIKES!

As soon as I get my laptop fixed I'll be able to finish our latest newsletter as well!

This photo is to honor Rachel's birthday!

Thanks for your faithful prayers for us.
