Welcome to the Baldwin Boomerang

We long to see people in every tribe, tongue and nation transformed for God's glory. Our mission is to share the gospel by producing effective, compelling media tools that people can understand in their own culture and language. We are preparing to serve as full-time media missionaries with Create International. Toward that end we completed an extensive missions training program called a Crossroads DTS at YWAM Perth, Australia and a secondary YWAM school called the School of Frontier Media in Thailand. We are currently on furlough in North America and hope to see you face-to-face in 2010!

Support Information: Our support goal is currently near 50%.

You may send gifts and donations for our support to our sending agency Ripe for Harvest and please designate Account #247 in the memo line without including our name on the check. You may then mail the check directly to:

Ripe for Harvest, P.O. Box 487, Monument, CO 80132

PLEASE note new address.

It can take up to a month and a half for us to see your donation show up on our report. Also, Ripe for Harvest is able to issue a tax deductible receipt in the USA, but YWAM in Thailand is not.

Baldwin Boomerang Volume 4

Our shower curtain!

Here is a modified version of our most recent support letter.

Our plan now is to leave for Perth, Australia at the end of December for YWAM training and remain there to begin work with Create International. Our work is focused on seeing people in every tribe, tongue and nation transformed for God's glory. Our mission is to share the gospel by producing effective, compelling media tools that people can understand in their own culture and language. Toward that end we are preparing to serve as full-time media missionaries to the 10/40 window.

Our transition seems even more real now that we have downsized to a little apartment at the Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. What good practice before we head off to the other side of the world with only a suitcase!

This plan requires us to be fully funded before we leave in December to ensure that our remaining training and outreach costs, outgoing expenses, airfare fees, salary and ongoing needs are all provided. In this struggling economy, finding support for missions has been difficult at best, so we are knocking on every door we can in the hopes that some will respond favorably.

Create International Event at First Congregational Church of Hamilton, October 10th

For Churches & Organizations:

Our colleague and mentor Dr. John Tobey has challenged us to find 20 local churches who can commit to $1000/year for the next three years. Perhaps you can prayerfully consider being one of those churches. Toward that end, we are very happy to come meet with you and/or present our work at your church or organization at your convenience. Every church is different, and we have been asked to present after church, during church, Sunday School, other special events, and sometimes to just the missions committee members. We are very flexible.

In addition, if you can think of anyone in your congregation or network that would be particularly interested in hearing about our specific call, please let us know.

For Families & Individuals:

Would you consider making an ongoing, annual gift to our ministry? A lump sum is welcome or breaking it up in quarterly or monthly payments is fine if that is better for you. Would you prayerfully consider a gift of $20, $50 or $100/month?

For Everyone:

We are writing to you today to request your further partnership. Would you consider making an ongoing, annual gift to our ministry? A lump sum is welcome or breaking it up in quarterly or monthly payments is fine if that is better for you. However, not as we will, but as God wills. Please ask God to provide you with an amount that you and He would deem best.

You are our tribe sending us out to bless other tribes in Jesus name. This partnership allows each of us to contribute effectively for God's global purpose. His deep desire is for all of us to take part in His plan to bring His gospel to the very ends of the earth. For now (at least) that means we get to go and you get to stay, pray and send us along the way.

We appreciate you and pray for you. We are committed to partner in prayer with those the Lord leads to support us. Please let us know how we can be specific. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider our request. We also hope to see you more this fall before we go!

We have some upcoming, informative events that would be awesome to have you come to. On Tuesday evening, October 28th, we are hosting a dessert night at Covenant Christian Academy. Details can be found in an earlier yet recent blog post.

Thanks again for considering us for partnership.

Blessings in Christ,

Steve & Allyson
