Welcome to the Baldwin Boomerang

We long to see people in every tribe, tongue and nation transformed for God's glory. Our mission is to share the gospel by producing effective, compelling media tools that people can understand in their own culture and language. We are preparing to serve as full-time media missionaries with Create International. Toward that end we completed an extensive missions training program called a Crossroads DTS at YWAM Perth, Australia and a secondary YWAM school called the School of Frontier Media in Thailand. We are currently on furlough in North America and hope to see you face-to-face in 2010!

Support Information: Our support goal is currently near 50%.

You may send gifts and donations for our support to our sending agency Ripe for Harvest and please designate Account #247 in the memo line without including our name on the check. You may then mail the check directly to:

Ripe for Harvest, P.O. Box 487, Monument, CO 80132

PLEASE note new address.

It can take up to a month and a half for us to see your donation show up on our report. Also, Ripe for Harvest is able to issue a tax deductible receipt in the USA, but YWAM in Thailand is not.

If you want to be added to our newsletter list or have additional questions, email us at baldwinboomerang @ gmail dot com

The Widow's Mites

Me and my mom!

Hi there! I wanted to share with everyone two excerpts from emails that were recently sent to us.

The first is from Andrea Madden, a missionary to Africa that our church supports. She was responding to a prayer request that Steve posted to our prayer chain:
Hi Steve,
My husband Kelly and I are missionaries supported by FCCH. I read your email and
had a heavy sense of spiritual warfare around you guys. If I had known what I know now when I first went to Africa, so many things would have been different. Notice the enemy's desire for you....VS God's. Hallelujah we are on the Victor's side! John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
This was tremendously encouraging to me since we feel like we are living with the constant stress of battle. To have another person acknowledge it gave me a little more fight! Thank you so much for all of you who pray for us. We can tell that we ARE on the victor's side, even when it feels a little dicey. We love to pray for you, too, so if you would share your prayer requests with us, we'd love to stand with you against the enemy.

The second email is from our dear friend and encourager John Tobey. He was continuing a conversation he had been having with Steve via internet and phone:

Dear Steve,
I have been thinking recently of the widow who cast in her two mites. She gave her all to glorify God. And I think of others who can afford little or nothing at all and yet they have given generously to help you. Each time we have met you have given me a new example of some person who has been led by God to support you and yet we see so clearly their own financial need. What a precious experience.

It shows me so clearly that God is leading you and that these precious people sense that and they want to be a part of the work of God. Better to be supported by widows with two mites whose heart is sold out to God that a bunch of folks who have tons of money but no clear call from God.

I just got a phone call from a brother. He can afford nothing. Yet he called to say God is leading him to contribute to your support. He said it is so exciting to hear how God will use you to present the Gospel to those who are illiterate.

God is at work brother, in His time, in His way, and with His people---some of whom are the widows with two mites. They sense the call of God in your life and they are generously giving what they cannot afford. Praise God. What a spiritual lesson. God will truly bless them and bless you.

And may God bless you, too!
xo

Hi, Allyson (and Steve).

Thanks so much for this wonderful and thoughtful post. I've been so busy the last several weeks that I haven't been able to keep up with the blog. But today I had a bit of time, and it was such a blessing to read. You guys ARE in a battle, and it's a reminder to me that I have to be even more continually in prayer for you. But I also appreciate your faithfulness, which is an inspiration to me.

I hope I can get out to see you guys before you head off for your training! Until then, you and your wonderful family are in my thoughts often.
