Welcome to the Baldwin Boomerang

We long to see people in every tribe, tongue and nation transformed for God's glory. Our mission is to share the gospel by producing effective, compelling media tools that people can understand in their own culture and language. We are preparing to serve as full-time media missionaries with Create International. Toward that end we completed an extensive missions training program called a Crossroads DTS at YWAM Perth, Australia and a secondary YWAM school called the School of Frontier Media in Thailand. We are currently on furlough in North America and hope to see you face-to-face in 2010!

Support Information: Our support goal is currently near 50%.

You may send gifts and donations for our support to our sending agency Ripe for Harvest and please designate Account #247 in the memo line without including our name on the check. You may then mail the check directly to:

Ripe for Harvest, P.O. Box 487, Monument, CO 80132

PLEASE note new address.

It can take up to a month and a half for us to see your donation show up on our report. Also, Ripe for Harvest is able to issue a tax deductible receipt in the USA, but YWAM in Thailand is not.

If you want to be added to our newsletter list or have additional questions, email us at baldwinboomerang @ gmail dot com

Missions Moment #1!

This Sunday we finally did it - we had our first presentation at a church. Our church to be specific, the First Congregational Church of Hamilton. What a blessing it was! We were so humbled and grateful to the people who stayed and listened to us and to everyone who helped out.

Special shout outs (or is it "shouts out"?) go to:

  • Pam Heintz who brought goodies and a tablecloth and napkins and asked a great question.
  • Tricia Johnson who introduced us and helped explain the awesome work Create International is doing PLUS brought grapes.
  • Trisha Payne who set everything up and worked hard to make sure everything ran smoothly.
  • Dave Lindsay who prayed for us and brought cheese and crackers.
  • Jeremy Depace who made the yummy brie and we made drive all over the North Shore (SOMEONE forgot to tell Jeremy which church to go to...).
  • Jen Enfield who brought really good blueberry cake.
  • Cass Kuplen who brought food and cried because we're leaving :(.
  • Reid and Janice Swetland who brought doughnuts and helped by asking leading questions and made sure we covered all the bases.
  • Karen Rendall who was just barely home from vacation and immediately called to offer to bring food.
  • Lynn Marcott who brought delicious bars to share.
  • Bob Masterson who made the coffee and helped coordinate the food.
  • Tom and Jen Sprague who brought brownies and Delaney who brought the cute new haircut.
  • Wendy Shorey and the Missions Committee who helped make the event happen.
  • Robert Tansill for his help with the equipment.
  • Dori Little for being so willing to fit us into the schedule at the last minute.
  • *** New Arrival on the Wall of Fame... Janet Nelson who was so stealthy a baker that we never even knew that those awesome cupcakes were from her! :)

I know I've forgotten others! Everyone was so encouraging and excellent. I'll tell you, the cost of what we are doing really hit me Sunday when I looked around and saw this room full of people that I love who were so willing to come out and help us on a cold Sunday afternoon. What a blessing you guys are to us. We honestly thank God for you all and have committed to praying for our peeps. That's the best way I know of thanking you. God bless you all! xoxoxoxoxox

Some friend I am - missed your innaugural presentation... didn't help with food... I did nothing. :(

But, I have enjoyed getting better aquainted with your plans with this blog - I'll add it to my favorites. :)

I will continue to pray for God's leading for your family as you prepare for His amazing journey.

Much love,
Susie

Loved the missions moment! I feel so much more connected to your dreams. I was most encouraged by seeing your three beautiful children excited about this adventure and jumping in with both feet. Thank you for putting me in your blog. Made me cry even more.
